"Perfect in every way" (extract November 2016)
Myself and 2 lifelong girlfriends have just had our 8th year running staying at Harringtons City Hotel. We stay for 2 nights at this time of the year and it never fails to disappoint. The location is absolutely amazing, having all the shops, bars and restaurants on our doorstep. The staff are consistently friendly, polite and can't do enough to help us.
We loved the Harington which is in a great location. Room was at the front of the hotel and was excellent and the breakfast was lovely - great choice. Will definitely make use of the hot tub next time I stay.
Very helpful and quiet hotel within walking distance of attractions, shopping, food, and also the bus/train stations. We arrived by train and walked to hotel in about 10 minutes. Our room was on the very top floor, and it was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are so amazing: they can help you with reservations or even give great advice if you just want an opinion of a nice place to eat nearby. The hotel has their own quiet bar/lounge, so we avoided some crowds by just spending quiet time there. The staff can make you almost anything and they have a great selection of beer and wine. I would definitely recommend them!
We stayed at the Harington Hotel town house and it was great. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The house and the amenities were great. We stayed two nights, but it would have been very comfortable for a longer stay. The house was in close walking distance to the Baths, the Abbey and lots of restaurants and shops.
“A wonderful, charming hotel in the centre of Bath”
Harington's is fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed, and it is an excellent home away from home in Bath. The hotel tub is great, well worth using, and breakfast is very tasty, with a good selection of fruits, fresh orange juice and yummy croissants. The hotel is very centrally located, making it ideal for sightseeing and shopping, as you can drop any purchases off quickly. (Extract July 2016)
“Staff go the extra mile for you. Great personal service.”
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, actually walking to find us when we got a bit lost, and directing us to the car park, and then accompanying us by foot to the hotel. I cannot hesitate to recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a family-run hotel, and they are keen to provide that personal touch, that makes such a difference (Extract May 2016)
I have been staying at this hotel for years. Every time I go to Bath I stay in this lovely retreat. I have been lucky enough to stay in the hotel, their townhouse and their two apartments, all of which are clean, modern and decorated to a high standard with a contemporary feel. I have to commend all the staff and the management team, for their amazing hospitality. (Extract April 2016)
“Excellent rooms, location & staff”
We stayed at this hotel for a night and couldn't rate it any higher. The location is perfect for seeing everything Bath has to offer, with the main shopping street at the end of the road and the Roman baths about 5 minutes walk away. The central location makes it perfect for exploring the many restaurants also. The staff are wonderful, and nothing is too much trouble, the hot tub is lovely and feels very private. The included breakfast is also superb and as a gluten free diner they really cater for your dietary requirements and I was able to have pancakes for breakfast, which is quite a rarity! (Extract March 2016)
Harington's is a beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Bath. It's a short walk from the station, Thermae Spa, theatre, shops, bars and restaurants, so you feel right in the middle of things. It's a well-kept hotel with a smart exterior on a lovely cobbled street. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast gave a good choice of options and was delicious. The room was clean, cosy and finished in a contemporary but homely style. The bathroom was spotless and a good size. (Extract Jan 2016)
Booked for a shopping trip with my daughter and friends. It's very central which is perfect. There's a parking permit for a local car park which is very useful, although a good few mins walk away. Fine for me but maybe not for the infirm! My daughter and her friends were in room 7 which is lovely. recommended if there are 3 or 4 of you. (extract Dec 2015)
First visited 4 years ago on a rugby weekend with some friends, this time brought my family with a precocious 3 year old. From the second we arrived the staff were friendly and super helpful, the room spacious and with a pleasant aspect. The location could not be better on the edges of the Georgian quarter and the retail district and close to the wonderful Victoria Park with the largest children's playground I have found in any City we have visited, The food was exceptional from informal snacks through to the breakfasts included in the room rate which featured great pastries, super fresh orange juice, amazing boutique coffee and a fantastic cooked breakfast. (extract Nov 2015)
"Wonderful family run hotel in perfect location"
Everything about our stay in this beautiful and quaint city-centre hotel was just perfect. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Arranging car parking in a local car park was easier than expected and the owners Peter and Melissa took time out to chat to us during our stay. I loved the continental breakfast and must admit that the porridge with fresh fruits and honey was about the best tasting breakfast thtat I ever had. Worth the trip there alone! I could not recommend this place any higher and will certainly return if planning another trip to this part of England. (extract Oct 2015)
"Harington's City Hotel - A must if you stay in Bath - Highly recommended"
If you visit Bath, you must stay at Harington's City Hotel. This privately owned hotel is quirky and very charming. Its set in the centre of Bath within easy reach of pretty much everything. What makes this so special is the comfort of the rooms and the very friendly and helpful staff. It is obvious the owners have worked very hard to ensure this is an enjoyable experience. Absolutely recommended. (extract Sept 2015)
City Centre Spa Break for 21st birthday treat.”
With a little concern about finding the hotel we set off for a relaxing spa break. Needless to say my concerns were unfounded becasue despite the hotel being right in the center and on a one way system it proved easy to find and so did their alocated parking in a nearby carpark.
The hotel was a lovely boutique style georgian house, very contemporary, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you because there are a lot of stairs, from the entrance to the bedrooms but this will not come as any surprise. The young lady on reception was very helpful, friendly and welcoming as were all the staff during the whole of our visit. (extract June 2015)
"Brillant last-minute Break"
Just got back from a lovely stay at Harington's and couldn't fault anything. It's a great little hotel right in the best bit of Bath – near some brilliant restaurants, shops and bars but tucked away down a side street so it has a secluded feel. It also offers bargain parking – something of a rarity in this parking space-sparse city – for £11 a day just 5 minutes walk away. Conveniently you can pull up just around the corner to drop off luggage and grab the permit, too. The room was lovely – big and bright – and the tea, coffee and complimentary bottled water were very welcome additions, too. The staff are brilliant – quick to respond to my email about parking and then friendly and really helpful when we got there, too. (extract may 2015)
”myself and 7 girlfriends recently stayed at this townhouse which is part of the Harington hotel for a hen weekend, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Eve on reception was absolutely wonderful from correspondence prior to arrival, to checking out. She was so helpful, bubbly and cheerful that it made our weekend so much more enjoyable. The townhouse itself is very pretty and finished to a high standard, and the terrace is a lovely sun trap. It is close to lots of amenities and as soon as you turn out of the street you are right in the city centre. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lovely weekend away in bath. Thanks Eve and all at Haringtons hotel! (Extract May 2015)
My Mum and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this brilliant hotel. We stayed in Room 9 which was lovely and spacious for the two of us - (1 x double and 1 x single). The check in/out process was efficient and it was brilliant the hotel has its own car parking spaces, a few minutes away. The breakfast each morning was lovely, with a variety of options to choose from; all cooked breakfasts are made to order, so they are fresh, which is great. There is also a "fresh orange juice machine" which is a lovely touch, instead of juice from a carton. The staff are a true asset to the Hotel, everyone was really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also used the "hot tub", which was a nice start to our stay. The location of this hotel was fabulous and in a great central position which was brilliant and one of the key factors why we booked this Hotel. When we visit Bath again, we will definitely re-book and truly recommend staying here. Thank you to all of the staff for an excellent short break! (Extract April 2015)
I stayed at the hotel with my sister and mum in a large family room visiting Bath for one night. The hotel itself is really lovely and clean and has all of the mod cons you'd expect, the hotel itself is a small boutique hotel however the rooms, staff, lounge and bar are exceptional. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious with plenty of options including a full english, smoked salmon, veggie options, cereals, pastries and fresh juices. (Extract March 2015)
Spent the weekend in Bath towards the end of January and stayed in this hotel, and was extremely impressed. The location is perfect -- short walk to the centre of Bath but far enough away not to experience any noise, and with a couple of pubs directly across the street. Lovely room -- nice decor, clean, comfortable bed, wifi, flatscreen TV, and so on. Breakfast was excellent, and staff were extremely friendly; made us feel very welcome as soon as we walked through the door. We were very pleased with our stay and would absolutely stay again next time we visit Bath. Highly recommend. (Extract Feb 2015)
Just spent a lovely weekend in Bath at one of Harington's Hotel self-catering apartments - Harry's Town House. Its central location suited me and my friends perfectly; so close to shopping, Thermae Spa and other attractions in the city that we had come to see. The apartment provides a great balance of offering privacy and independence while also being just round the corner from the hotel and its services if you want them. (Extract Jan 2015)
This was our 3rd stay at this very well placed, central Bath hotel. As always the staff were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. The rooms are very comfortable and just seem to have everything you may need in them. The cooked breakfast was excellent and I just have to mention the fresh orange juice machine, fantastic! Love it. (Extract Dec 2014)
This is a lovely place to stay in the centre of Bath, room clean and comfortable, breakfast also very good. Even though the hotel is very close to the high street location it was not noisy at night. Staff polite and friendly nothing at all to complain about. (Extract Dec 2014)
I stayed at the Loft Apartment with a friend for 3 nights. It is very comfortable and tastefully decorated with every amenity, extremely quiet and excellent central location. The service was impressive: help carrying baggage, booking taxis, providing information, all dealt with in a friendly and easy manner. We were able to visit all the places we planned to see in Bath on foot and were never too far away to return with shopping or to rest. The choice, variety and quality of breakfast was unmatchable with local produce used. I long to return and envisage doing so regularly in the years ahead, having discovered this gem! (Extract Dec 2014)
Went away for a weekend with the girls, shopping eating and chilling. 1st week of the Bath Christmas market so City was buzzing. Dinner in The Circus on Saturday wonderful meal and great service. Thoroughly recommend the town house and Harington’s (Extract Nov 2014)
My partner and I came for one night to Bath. We stayed in room 8 at this hotel. It is just a beautifully presented boutique hotel within central Bath. Parking was very well organised and only 5 Minute walk away. We were able to drop our bags off in the hotel beforehand. Our room was just glorious with quirky features. We also reserved the hot tub for an hour which was most pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety of pastries and cereals and a selection of hot breakfasts. There is a lovely gin bar just opposite also. Walking distance to all amenities! Definitely will be staying here again! (Extract Nov 2014)
Have stayed here several times, and can give a strong recommendation if you want a central location, quiet surroundings, and a good bed and breakfast. We take our evening meals at one of the many restaurants, and car parking although not on site is secure and within very easy walking distance (I am not aware of any hotel in central Bath with its own on site car parking). For us it a clear "excellent" (Extract Nov 2014)
Staff very very good, helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice. Decided to stay an extra night and request met very easily - they moved my bags for me too. Book through the hotel as you get breakfast included. Minutes walk to Abbey and Baths. Will recommend highly. (Extract Nov 2014)
Stayed here and really enjoyed it. Our room was beautiful and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was a brilliant location for all the main sights, the shops and the nearby restaurants, cafes and pubs were all pretty charming, especially liked the Gin bar opposite. The breakfast was brilliant, and if I was looking to treat myself again I would definitely come back! (Extract Oct 2014)
Stayed here for 2 nights, hotel location was perfect for walking to centre of town and all attractions shops bars etc.. Hotel decor was lovely and the hot tub was a cracking wee treat after a tough day sight seeing! Staff were all very helpful and friendly would defo stay here again. (Extract Oct 2014)
Myself and 2 friends stayed for one night. We booked a triple room which was perfect for all of us. There was plenty of space to get ready and a large bathroom. We had drinks in the bar after our night out. The Gin bar over the road from the hotel is excellent. In the morning we all had fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast with a glass of champagne! The hotel is in a fabulous location only a few minutes from the main shopping street. (Extract Oct 2014)
Its central location was why we chose this hotel for a weekend away. Minutes from the high street, Roman baths, Abbey, and Bath Thermae Spa. The room was clean and comfy and had all we needed. Staff all very friendly and attentive and breakfast also very good. Would definitely recommend. (Extract Oct 2014)

Stayed at the hotel several times. Rooms are always wonderful. Staff are helpful, polite and patient and its location is utterly perfect for getting around Bath on foot. Have always recommended it to people. (Sept 2014)
The hotel is the perfect base for a weekend of exploring central Bath, with all the main sights as well as plenty of restaurants and bars only a short walk away. The room was comfortable and well maintained and the breakfast was tasty and efficient. Service was good throughout. (Aug 2014)
Love it. (Aug 2014)
Absolutely loved this hotel, very well positioned for visiting the city. Staff were exceptional; the room we had was beautifully decorated and arranged over two floors (accessed via a spiral staircase by the reception). Nice bar area for pre-dinner drinks and open late for when you get back too! Parking can be reserved at only a short walk away and well worth the extra few quid as Bath parking can be a pain in the backside! Will 100% use this hotel again, enjoyed thoroughly! (Aug 2014)
Great hotel, fantastic location and tasty breakfast. Will definitely be returning and can't stop recommending the place! (July 2014)
Lovely charming old building- winding staircases and great rooms / bathrooms. We stayed on the top floor so had a decent outlook over the rooftops of Bath. Pesky seagulls though! Fantastic location, helpful staff, very clean and a good breakfast. Highly recommended. (July 2014)
The hotel is the perfect base for a weekend of exploring central Bath, with all the main sights as well as plenty of restaurants and bars only a short walk away. The room was comfortable and well maintained and the breakfast was tasty and efficient. Service was good throughout.
We chose this hotel because of its location, but enjoyed every aspect of it. It is a lovely boutique hotel in the center of town. We had a room for three - a double and a single, and there was plenty of room. The room was very quiet, except for the sound of seagulls! Delicious filtered water in the room...
I have stayed here several times over the past few years, most recently this week for graduation, and am very sad that now my son has left Uni in Bath, I may not visit again. Harington's is one of the very nicest boutique hotels I have stayed in, putting several pricier hotels to shame. Unfailingly helpful and friendly service, excellent.
