If you've visited Bath before, you'll know that the city has stonkingly-good foodie credentials. For instance, at Harington's we're really lucky to have Jamie Oliver's Italian, and the award-winning, three AA rosette Olive Tree Restaurant within strolling distance of the hotel, as well as many other tasty eateries. With this in mind, we're very pleased to say a hearty 'hello!' to one of the new kids on the block - The Stable.
Down-to-earth, friendly and great value, The Stable is a place where pizza, pies and cider are all served together in gorgeous harmony. If you've already come across one of their restaurants, you'll know that they're a busy hub, dedicated to social dining. Their Bath eatery is smaller and more intimate than their other venues - think cosy candlelit booths and roaring open fire and you won't be disappointed.
On the Menu
The Stable's well-established ethos focuses on simple food with amazing flavours. It's safe to say that these folks have scruples. Their ever-changing range of pizzas is lovingly hand-made and they only use organic British flour to create their famous organic sourdough base. Furthermore, their extraordinary toppings are sourced from the best producers and growers in the region too. Or perhaps you'd prefer a pie? The same principles apply: locally-sourced, hand-crafted and organic (where possible).
"More cider than you can shake your tail feather at..."
That's what their website promises, and it's right! They're always changing their range of ciders so it's best to speak to the bar person who will have some scrumptious suggestions up their sleeve. Or perhaps you'd like to discover them for yourself? If so, a great value option is to punt for a cider tasting board (£7.50 per person). This is the perfect way to sample five different ciders which should help you on your journey to discover the tipple of your dreams. Or, at the very least, it will get you a little tiddly!
The Stable is just a short stroll from Haringtons Hotel, you'll find it in the old 'Hole in The Wall' on George Street. Get directions...
